Gay-Friendly Puerto Vallarta Hotels

Choosing the best hotel in Puerto Vallarta may not be as easy as it looks. The destination has a few main areas of hotels and finding the right hotel in the right area can mean the difference between a fabulous trip and one that could have been better. For the lesbian or gay traveler to Puerto Vallarta, be sure to choose a hotel that is in Vallarta proper – not the Riviera Nayarit – if you want to be close to the action. The Riviera Nayarit is a beautiful, quiet area with some fantastic all-inclusive resorts, but the cab ride to and from downtown can be time consuming and annoying. The closer you get to Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone the better.

Near the Marina there are a few nice properties like the Marriott Casa Magna and the Westin Resort & Spa that will give you the high value treatment you like, but still only a five minute cab ride from downtown. Closer to downtown you can find some nice properties with small beaches that will still suit your needs. Try the Villa Premier or the Fiesta Americana, both very nice vacation experiences. Or, if you are looking to stay at a gay hotel in the Romantic Zone, look for The Abbey Hotel – small, quaint but clean and a great staff!
